Ruben Mets specializes in corporate and insolvency law. With his extensive expertise, Ruben can assist entrepreneurs and stakeholders with financial and legal issues surrounding financing, securities, restructuring and insolvency.
Background
Ruben was born and raised in Zwijndrecht, but has since expanded his knowledge and experience in various places in the Netherlands. He began his career in the legal profession in Amsterdam. He studied Corporate Law at Leiden University and completed the postgraduate specialization course CPO Insolvency Law for receivers. After working as a lawyer at Davids Advocaten in Amsterdam, where he gained extensive experience in insolvency law, Ruben has been continuing his career in Rotterdam at Yur Advocaten since February 2025.

These specialties are also registered under Article 35a of the Regulations on the Legal Profession in the Register of Jurisdictions of the Dutch Bar Association. This registration requires me to obtain ten training points in each registered area of law each calendar year according to the standards of the Dutch Bar Association.
